Liz is an experienced AI startup leader and policy advisor with more than 12 years' experience building and scaling GTM strategies on the business side of  early-stage AI startups. Previously, Liz was a cofounder of one of the first MLOps startups, Arthur AI, and she was the first Technology Director of the Surveillance Technology Oversight Project (STOP), a NYC civil liberties nonprofit focused on New York City and State policy. In 2022, Liz was appointed to the National AI Advisory Committee (NAIAC) through the US Department of Commerce, which is facilitated by The National Institute of Science and Technology (NIST). The NAIAC provides guidance to the White House on how best to foster United States AI adoption, and regulate its risks.

Justin is a career Data Science, ML and AI practitioner and leader. After graduating with a BS in Computer Science from the United States Naval Academy, Justin served as a technology leader in the Marine Corps before shifting to industry. Over his career, Justin has led large Applied Science AI and ML teams at Fitbit, Cloudera, and Yelp. After these roles, Justin embarked his on doctoral research at UC Berkeley focused on novel methodologies to validate and improve production AI quality. Justin’s academic work has been published at the CVPR, ICML and ACM FAccT conferences. In 2024, he was appointed to the Navy Science and Technology Board, working to deploy AI in sensitive situations effectively, and safely.
